Ryan started writing music for the piano in the Spring of 2016. He amassed a collection of pieces before creating his first official production, a five-track EP named Galaxias. This was completed in 2018.

Further inspired by the trailer music, synthwave and electronic pop scenes, Ryan released his debut album Sunspot in the summer of 2019. In the next few months, he released a follow-up, Flamboyance, along with the EP Empress Fate.

The next year, 2020, Ryan dropped a total of six more albums: this included Finality, Truth, Love and Synths, V, Monsters and Candycanes, Arthurians and Kings and Queens. It's safe to say that the pandemic left Forrest with an overabundance of free time.

His next project was a 63-track compendium split over two parts: IX and Utopian Xperiment. These were both released in 2021 (January and April respectively.) Combined, the ninth and tenth albums were the culmination of everything that had come before.

Map of Our Delusions (1.0) was released on 19th July 2021. It was the beginning of a new direction for his music and featured his first full-blown vocal tracks. Its sequel, Map of Our Dreams (2.0) was released on November 20th 2021. Forrest's latest album is a moody, rainy expansion of its predecessor, featuring bigger vocals, tighter hooks and many experimental tracks.
